Train-the-Trainer Workshop

Educational robotics is an effective tool to introduce integrated science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts to students. 

 

The workshops provides the educators with a solid foundation to build upon for their programs.

We developed custom train-the-trainer workshops for educators. In the workshops, Engineering Design concepts are introduced with hands on application using LEGO® MindStorms NXT     /  EV3

Workshop Objectives

• Demonstrate engineering design principles through a water robotic curriculum using LEGO® MindStorm NXT    / EV3

• Guide through hands on practices for effective learning & lisensed curriculum

• Engage in a simulated robotics competition to implement engineering designs concepts

• Facilitate a train-the-trainer session to develop a water robotic curriculum based on your area of expertise

Workshop Outcomes

• Define main components of LEGO® MindStorm NXT    / EV3 platforms

• Demostrate how NXT     / EV3 components can be assembled into robots & progrmmed to exhit certain functions & behaviors

• Apply engineering designs concepts to robotics

• Compare design alternatives in term of performance, select the best alternative, and explain the reason

• Design robot given the mission statement

• Evaluate different designs in term of overal performance
